OK, so I've done some testing, using the ubiquitous M-Vave Chocolate midi pedal, hardwired to an android tablet. Under midi setup I am now seeing the Transport options, and it allows me to assign midi commands to the three options. However, back in Loop view, triggering these commands has no effect. Transport control is no longer working in Song view (either with the midi commands mapped under Transport or mapped under Song. All other midi assignments (such as switching views) are working fine. so it looks like there is just a breakdown in communication for the Transport controls. On a positive note - the transport controls on screen are much clearer :-)

Hi @Kyt, Remixlive 8.1 will be released next week containing an all new Main clock with advanced transport options, coming with their own MIDI controls :)

Thanks Louis - very much looking forward to testing this out!

The transport controls are exposed to midi for song view, but have been omitted for loop view. I discovered a partial workaround to stop all loops: programme two sequential midi messages to start and then immediately stop playback of an empty song. For some reason this also stops all loops playing. Messy though.
